Alleva Care Renal-Antiox is a complete dry diet food for adult cats designed to support kidney function in chronic or temporary kidney failure, as well as to reduce the formation of oxalate and urate stones.

General characteristics

Alleva Care Renal-Antiox contains less protein to better control nitrogen catabolites in the blood, reduced phosphorus to limit the occurrence of hyperphosphatemia and secondary hyperparathyroidism, and moderate sodium to limit the occurrence of systemic hypertension. The product also contains a small amount of calcium and vitamin D3 to reduce the formation of oxalate stones. A limited level of selected proteins (whole egg) reduces the formation of urate stones. The addition of citrate and potassium carbonate contributes to the achievement of the alkaline pH of the urine, increasing the saturation point of the crystals and counteracting systemic acidosis. The formula is complemented by a plant mixture with a high content of polyphenols, capable of preventing oxidative stress in all body systems, as well as enriched with Omega-3, which has anti-inflammatory properties, and krill oil, which, together with the microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis, is an important source of astaxanthin.

Suggested use

It is recommended that you consult your veterinarian before and to extend the period of use. The food is ready to eat. The recommended daily feeding rate is indicated in the table and is indicative. Recommended period of use: 2-4 weeks with temporary renal failure; up to six months in chronic renal failure; to reduce the formation of oxalate and urate stones, use a diet for up to six months; for life with irreversible disorders of uric acid metabolism. The daily rate may vary depending on the breed, temperament, conditions of detention and level of activity. Your cat should always have free access to fresh drinking water.
